I'm glad you found new add-ons to your Norway itinerary!
Lysefjord definitely has many hiking routes your kids can make too!
I assume you have already added Preikestolen, as maybe the most approachable rocks in this area: https://www.pipeaway.com/preikestolen-pulpit-rock-hike-norway/
At Florli site, you will be able to find various alternatives for the whole family.
Just have in mind to have proper shoes for everyone. I was there in September too, and some parts of the mountain can get slippery.
Enjoy your trip, and let us know if the kiddos made it to the top of the stairs!

I'm so excited to have added these stairs into our Norway itinerary. We are planning a family trip in Sept 2020. Our kids will be 8 and 6 at the time we go. I think we can push them to get up these stairs. They are great little hikers. I didn't realise that we could stay over, so I think I will look into this option. Seems better than getting back to Stavanger late at night. Lots of think about with Norway! Think this is the hardest itinerary I've put together. So much to see!! Many thanks :)
